The Liquid Crystal Photopainting series is a world of the author’s inner vision, bordering on abstraction and surrealism. Using light, the author creates a world of images filled with an unusual combination of colour sensations and fanciful shapes, creating a peculiar story. A world which is a reflection on the surrounding reality, of reflective thoughts on observed facts and events. A world which is an externalisation of the author’s inner experiences, in which the author draws inspiration sometimes almost directly from nature, and at other times asking spectators to find intended reliances. On the one hand, some of his paintings are a kind of grotesque, sometimes even ironic, but on the other hand they always pose specific and very serious questions.
